Moodboard Pro was chosen by Apple as a “New & Noteworthy” app this week! We are currently on the front page of the App Store in the United States. Thanks to the increased publicity, we are now the #4 Paid App in Photography, the #3 Free App in Photography (for Moodboard Lite), and the #85 Overall Paid App on the App Store. We’re having a small problem with Moodboard disappearing from the App Store today. We think this might have to do with some changes we made to the pricing structure earlier in the day. We’ve contacted Apple, and we’ve updated the app information.

This was on of the first questions I had to ask myself when starting to develop Moodboard and to be honest I had no idea what it was. When Kyle (the other half of A Tiny Tribe) presented the idea all I could think was that it was a board that changes color when you’re happy or sad. Needless to say I wasn’t even close and even though I believed I didn’t know what it was I was actually an expert in using them! Heck I had been using them since grade school!

A mood board is just a collection of images, text and colors with sole purpose of changing your mood. In simple terms it is a collage.

You’re probably an expert in using mood boards too! How many times have you gathered images, post cards or even bookmarked a website of a dream vacation destination? Perhaps you even have a bunch of pictures of that in-ground pool you are going put in with your Christmas bonus.

This is why we made Moodboard. Although the term “mood board” is something recognized by graphic, interior, fashion and web designers - the idea is nothing new. Use Moodboard to make plan out a redesign of your living room. Pick out colors, decorations and theme for your wedding this summer. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousands words and with Moodboard those images can inspire you to make or do something great right on your iPad.
